Fallen Angels and Demons – Know your Enemy

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6 v 12

This is a long blog but the short version this subject is a vast I haven’t gone to the level of exhaustive study but enough to give you the reader an understanding.

INTRO.

We are In a time when the Enemy is having an open Revival of Lucifeareanism, Satanism, Witchcraft and all things Pagan. This surge has come just after 150 years of an attack on the Word of God discrediting the Bible in any way they can. From attacks on the divinity of Christ to an all out frontal assault on the validity of the whole Bible and the outcome a generation who thinks the Bible s a compilation of Myth Legend and all story.

All I can say to that is thank you for things like Archaeology that it has not only shown that the Geography is correct. But has given us proof of the names in the Bible are true the dates are correct and the places mentioned existed that firstly lends credit to what the Bible is saying is correct. We also have other sources of historical significance like the 10,000 clay tablets that talk of the Hittite empire that up until the start of the century was thought to be make believe.

Don’t you find it a bit odd that the casting out of Demons has been relegated to a circus attraction when it was a 1/3 of the Ministry of Jesus Christ. Today we have people proclaim the Gospel we see the laying on of hands but we don’t see the casting out of Demons. Even in Church they use the word Sprit as not to offend and with Hollywood conditioning us for Aliens who are bodied Demons and the Music Industry has open rites and ritual on stage for all to see.

For this we thank the secret societies and the main players they have used we have Constantine he quenched the Spirit John Dee he established contact through Enochian magic Madame Blavatsky via the Rosicrucians gave birth to the new age Alister Crowly opening Portals and gave us what we see today and Gerald Gardner who reinvented witchcraft for the New age there are plenty more but if you start wth these you will be in good stead.

WHAT ARE DEMONS.

Demons are Entities that are here to cause the Human race problems and they come to Kill, Steal and Destroy they are distinct from Fallen Angels.

Then Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. And the LORD said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one [angel] spoke in this manner, and another [angel] spoke in that manner. 21 Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ The LORD said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the LORD said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’ Therefore look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against you.” I kings 22:19-23

IN THE OLD TESTAMENT.

I hear a lot that Demons are not in the old Testament but as we can see from above they were known as Evil Sprits but to be fair this example is of some other heavenly creature as Demons are confined to the earth it is shown to see that Angels differ from Spirits on the same token who is to say that God can’t send a Demon.on other occasions we have other Spirits mentioned like in Samuel Saul and the witch of Endor, Saul had outlawed séances with the dead and was worried about a Battle with the Philistines so he approached the Witch of Endor and the Witch.

Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor. 1 Samuel 28:7

The Hebrew is Obe 178 and it means a bottle (made from animal skin), a necromancer or Spirt it is when the Person becomes a Vessel to be filled by the Demon.

We also have the shedu.

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not. Deuteronomy 32:17

Important to note that Paul Speaks of this passage in 1 Corinthians 10 v 20 and calls them Devils in greek the word daimonion  1140 when speaking of fleeing Idolatry and not to be in fellowship with Demons. If you look into the original Language and Terminology you see that Fallen Angels and Demons are Mentioned all through the Bible we have Psalm 82 that talks of a group of Angels too that seem to fall Also.

The Shed were worshipped in Assyria and Babylon and are known in the Hebrew dialect as Devils/demons, Moses referred to them by name in the above scripture “To the new gods” the word Chadesh 2319 means a new thing and the word for gods is Shed strong’s7700 means Shade, Demon. These Shed although look a lot like a Centaur half man half horse were more minotaur in nature except instead of having a bulls head and man’s body.

I believe that the Creatures of the old greek and Canaanite stories are 100% true for more on this read this Day’s Of Noah-Hybrids in the Bible. and these creatures were created for the Demons to inhabit we have Satyr’s as well as the Minotaur to add into the Mix.

The Old Testament texts do not have as a purpose to teach demonology. There are lots of stuff they are leaving out since it is of no value to the point the texts are trying to make in the original context, the authors wanted to teach the listeners about faithfulness to the Covenant between God and his people.

It isn’t until the Kingdom comes and Christ appears that the Demons start to get called out some forget that Soloman, although not spoken of in the Hebrew Bible is known to have power over Demons. Some date the Testament of Soloman to early 1st Century it mentions the head Demon Asmodeus who appears in the Apocryphal book of Tobait. The story in the Book of Tobit is set in the 8th century BC, and scholars traditionally thought that it was written at that time.

In Matthew 12 when Jesus heals the Man with a lame hand and he is being accused of using Demons in part of the Dialogue, he mentions a greater than Solomon is here the Jews of his time would off known exactly what was meant by this statement.

IN THE NEW TESTAMENT.

Jesus spends alot of his time in the New Testament casting out Demons from the People and they are mentioned in many passages Demon in greek is daimonion 1140  an evil spirit, demon; a heathen deity.  but Also means  “replete with knowledge.” they are mentioned as Devils 55 times in 48 verses, Devil 61 times in 57 verses and unclean spirit 26 times in 13 verses unclean Spirits 20 times in 10 verses and Evil Spirits is only mentioned in a few Verses.

Demons in the Bible are involved in a few activities when active Sometimes they are responsible for physical disease or mental suffering. Although not all mental and Physical disease’s are down to Demons but in my opinion, most are or have their roots in Demonic activity like “Pharma” for example that opens a door weakens your resolve for a Demon to take root come in so to speak.

They (Demons) fill the mouth’s of some with doctrines that are not of God and the Bible Calls them “Doctrines of Demons”. Demons also corrupt man’s thoughts and ways and cause them to engage in immoral practices. And they can and do fully inhabit the body of those who have let them take control of them and not just buffet the mind but to fully possess. Demons are Evil and will seek to Kill steal and destroy you.

Jesus heals a woman with a disease.

On a Sabbath, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years.She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Luke 13 v 10-12

Jesus Drives out an Impure Sprit causing Violence. 

And they went into Capernaum and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit and he cried out, Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. Mark 1 v 21-26

Paul cast out a Demon of Divination.

 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. Acts 16 v 16-18

Jesus also heals a Demmon possessed boy. 

And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child. And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him. And I besought thy disciples to cast him out and they could not.And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.Luke 9 v 38-42

Demon Possessed man.

They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, which is across the lake from Galilee.When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. ²⁸ When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!” For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places. Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”“Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss. A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission.³³ When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned. Luke 8 v 26-33

The demons who inhabited this man were terrified of being banished by Jesus into the Abyss. This is the same place where the fallen angels were chained. Apparently, those Fallen Angels and Demons who get too far out of line here on earth are restrained in the Abyss until the day of judgment. So Demons can make you suffer from disease mentally attack you drive some to suicide as I have personally witnessed (2 friends). They can cause you to Lie, Cheat, steal have supernatural strength and abilities. When I was young they worked through me for a few years but they always come for one reason and one reason only to DESTROY you in any way they can whether it be Violence, Depression, Disease, Suicide or thee ol’ favourite of Demons Addiction the only way to be free is Christ.

WHERE DO DEMONS COME FROM.

At first, like many  I just thought to myself Demons must be Fallen Angels but the more I read scripture the more questions had demons as not being Fallen Angels this might seem to some like I’m coming against what the church and tradition at best teaches. And that is where I in a sense stand apart from most as I like the bereans searched the Scriptures and since asking things like who are the Nephilim..? is Satan and Lucifer the same entity..? the opening Question was answered and once you read the Word for any Period of time the Questions answer themselves.

FALLEN ANGELS.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Hebrews 1 v 13

Now the scripture above tells us that Angels are Spirits the Good angels are still Ministering to Gods People and we also have Fallen Angels who do the bidding of Satan.You see we have at least two groups of Angels that we call Fallen Angels we have “The Watchers” who are responsible for the Nephilim. And we have Satan and his Angels who still bother us today who are the fallen rebellious Angels. First, we will talk about the watchers.

WATCHERS.

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jude 1 v 6

Left their own estate their habitation did the angels leave the heavenly dwelling to come to earth..? The answer is a confident yes they left their positions their domain to come down to breed with the daughters of men.

The word for house/ Dwelling in Greek is oikétérion 3613 and means abode habitation.

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our “house” which is from heaven: 2 Corinthians 5 v 2 

When we depart from here we also acquire the same heavenly tent or similar as the angels. Jesus when talking to his disciples says in John 14 v 2 that he goes to prepare a place in the house “oikia” 3614 its the body as the habitation of the soul. So in this we know we get a new body but more on point is the Angels left this habitation some use that Angels are spirit beings and quote Matthew 22 v 30 Angels in Heaven don’t Marry yes Angels in heaven don’t marry  but when they come to earth they are flesh (keep reading I’ll go into more detail).

The sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. Genesis 6 v 2 

The Jews have always recognised the Sons of God Bene ha Elohim as Angels and for the sin of Mixing their seed wth Man God sent them to Tartarus.

For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 2 Peter 2 v 4

This first set of Angels according to the Bible are chained in Tartarus till that appointed time but some get used to go out and cause Bedlem as Revelation 9 tells us they get let out with Demons to attack Men and torture them for 5 months. And now we will see about Satan and his Angels the Angels that are chained are the 200 watchers that the book of Enoch tells us about Semjyaza and Azazel this Angel Azazel was that well known in the Past and that s where we  get the word Scapegoat from and it is mentioned in the book of Leviticus as part of God’s instructions to the Israelites regarding the Day of Atonement.

SATAN AND HIS ANGELS.

And so we have it the Adversary of Man the ol’ Dragon himself the one that is doomed and wants to take all of us with him. From the garden of Edan (Yes it was him) to the end of Days he wants to take as many of us as he can. This group of Angels revolted with Satan if we go to Isaiah 14 we see that his Pride is in play with the 5 “I wills”.

For thou hast said in thine heart, 

I will ascend into heaven,

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God:

I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;

I will be like the most High.

And we see in Ezekiel 28 that he was created he walked on the Holy mountain in other words he was in the third heaven. V 15 says

“Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee”

Then he goes around stirring up a revolt and finally taking a large amount of Angels with him scripture in some people’s eyes mentions a third of the host as Revelation 12 v 4 says that

“And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth:”

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12 v 9

So we see here that the Angels are here on earth doing their bidding and work for Satan with the same goals as him to destroy man very similar to demons in this regard. There is one Major point I will make here is that Angels all through the Bible appear as Human beings. So the Angels have Clearly the Ability to appear as Man like in Genesis 18 when God and the two Angels appear to Abraham and have a meal with him before the two go on to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for their sinning ways and above all PRIDE. Angels when they appear always appear as a Human man in the New Testament it says.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13 v 1 

But some reading this will say yes but that’s Gods Angels that can do that..! what makes you think that Satans Angels have lost their powers..?  In Job for example when the Sons of God appeared to God Satan included.

There was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?  Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. Job 1 v 6-7

So according to the book of Job he could appear before God but some will also say Job is the earliest book and might be written before Satan fell. I personally doubt that it was written before he fell, yes satan can just mean adversary but apart from Azazel I think and can prove through Scripture that Lucifer is Satan. The book of Job mentions the flood and it mentions about Satan that he sought to steal from, and destroy Job.  And we can’t ignore Daniel 10 when Daniel was Mourning and the Angel had a bit of bother with the prince of the kingdom of Persia. He withstood him and Michael had to help this to me shows that at this point they were fallen and had a battle no doubt in the second Heaven and probably in another dimension resonating on a different frequency.

BUT  the New Testament tells us that.

For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11 v 13-15

This scripture is warning us of both humans and Fallen Angels men can transform as apostles of Christ and  Satan and his Angels Transform into Angels of Light. So they can appear as Good Angels and the word for Transformed in Greek is metaschématizó 3345 and means I change the outward appearance (the dress, the form of presentment) of something, transfigure; I adapt. 

So we have seen through Scripture that there at least two groups of Angels one Chained till Judgement and the other here on earth the Bible makes a distinction between when it mentions Angels to Demons as we have seen in Matthew 25 v 41 “The Devil and His Angels” to Jude 1 v 6 “Angels that kept not their first Estate” to  the mention of unclean Spirits and Devils. We see that although the Fallen Angels left their heavenly dwelling they can appear in bodily form still and demons cannot as they begged Jesus to send them into the herd of swine they wander in arid places looking for a  body to indwell.

THE SPIRITS OF THE DEAD.

Two other  schools of thought worth a little mention on to what Demons are one is the Ghosts of our departed loved ones this I don’t believe at all especially coming from an occult background the Bible is clear that the Departed are in Hades or in Heaven depending on your standpoint of what happens after death and not roaming the earth the more we study the more things become clear the Bible seems to point towards we sleep until Judgement Day.

Then David slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David. 1 kings 2 v 10

Scripture points to we go to Hades/Sheol.

The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God.  Psalm 9 v 17

 .

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Luke 16 v 23

 .

If I find scriptures to say otherwise I have no problem in believing that we go straight to heaven “Absent from the Body Present with the Lord ” isn’t enough to base a doctrine on and Jesus says to the Thief on the cross about paradise but that depends on where you put the comma to what the meaning can be. The only way I can at this point in time see that we go straight to heaven if Saved is that God lives outside space and time so when we Die we can in a sense go straight to the Judgement seat (at times I think on the spot).

SPIRITS OF THE PRE-ADAMITES.

 .

One explanation called the ‘gap Theory’ According to this theory, God created a perfect world and society, as recorded in the first verse of the Bible. The pre-Adamites were soulless beings which all perished in a catastrophe called ‘Lucifer’s Flood’, which allegedly occurred between verses 1 and 2 of Genesis 1 “in the far-distant dateless past”. Proponents of this theory also use Genesis 1 v 2 and say instead of “the earth was without form and void” they say”the earth became form and void” and quote

I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. Jeremiah 4 v 23 

Saying the same thing as Genesis 1 v 2 with to-hu (form) and bo-hu (void). The spirits of those who lived before Adam, still inhabiting the earth are the demons, according to those who hold this view. But before we can conclude that demons are the disembodied spirits of a pre-Adamic race, we must first prove the existence of such a race. and the Proof for ‘Lucifers flood’ aka ‘gap theory’ is to me just the push of an 18th Century Theologian named Thomas Chalmers then by Goerge H. Pember to fit in with the likes of  James Hutton, Charles Lyell, Charles Darwin with an Old Earth.

DEMONS ARE THE DISEMBODIED NEPHILIM.

And it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6 v 1-4

Now this one is by far the one that makes the most sense and although there isn’t any direct passage that says that they are we have other sources that tell us in plain text. We have the book, Enoch.

And now the giants, who have been begotten from body and flesh, will be called evil spirits on earth, and their dwelling-places will be upon the earth.

Evil spirits proceed from their bodies; because they are created from above, their beginning and first basis being from the holy watchers, they will be evil spirits upon the earth, and will be called evil spirits.

But the spirits of heaven have their dwelling-places in heaven, and the spirits of the earth, who were born on the earth, have their dwelling-places on earth.

And the spirits of the giants, who cast themselves upon the clouds, will be destroyed and fall, and will battle and cause destruction on the earth, and do evil; they will take no kind of food, nor will they become thirsty, and they will be invisible. Enoch 15 v 8-11

The book of Enoch is not in the Canon we use here but Ethiopians use it Beta-Jews use it and some Coptic believers consider it scripture me I see it as a Historical document also this sentiment is echoed in the book of Jasher and Jubilees.

The Fallen Angels breed with the woman and the result were the giants now this story is echoed in the  Greek and Roman pantheons not only that but the fallen sinned not just against man but all flesh corrupt Animal and plant think of the grapes in the image above.

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. Genesis 6 v 12

Also, we have in the Extra- Biblical text of Jubilees

And after this they sinned against the beasts and birds, and all that moves and walks on the earth: and much blood was shed on the earth, and every imagination and desire of men imagined vanity and evil continually. Jubilees 7 v 24

and Jasher a mid-evil text but draws on older Manuscripts

And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals. Jasher  4 v 18

All through the Middle East, we have stories of Hybrids from Manticores to minotaurs, centaurs and satyrs and like in the modern world with Rabbits that have Jellyfish Genes Mice that grow Human ears and Pigs with Human blood we have Hybrids in our modern age too.

DEMONS OF THE PAST 

And like Hybrids Demons are known through History as well even in the  Hebrew mindset we have Lilith, Asmodeus and Molech he is clearly a Minotaur for more on Hybrids read Day’s Of Noah-Hybrids in the Bible.

The new Testament talks of Demons as Unclean Spirits in greek the word is Akathartos 169 meaning, unclean, impure. To be free from the Wrong Mix and that’s exactly what they are the wrong mix, not an Angel not a Man but an abomination.

So Demons need a Body and although Angels can affect a Body they don’t need one. Also when the Bible refers to Demons they call them Devils unclean Spirits. Fallen Angels are still known as Angels Demons are Earthbound and wonder for a body to dwell in Angels can prowl around and still fight in the unseen world with other Angels this is probably the 2nd heaven.

THE BIG QUESTION’S

Now that we have got to the bottom of where Demons come from it’s time to go a wee bit deeper the whole Demon talk has been relegated in the Church and this happened a long time ago with changing who the Sons of God are for example in 1 Corinthians 11 v 10 paul says.

For this, cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. 1 Corinthians 11 v 10

I’ve heard every Brethren talk of the head covering and true to form this Verse gets missed out Every time. A woman covers her head this was done as a sign to the Lord God of being Under his Authority as the woman is sacred and These are actually the Fallen Angels that Paul has in view here.

This is based on Greek and Roman culture in which the female head could be viewed as displays of sexuality. Who fell because they had sex with the beautiful daughters of men. and also worth noting that a lot of the woman in the Church of Corinth were Temple Prostitutes and to hide their hair was to give them a better standing in the Church Community.

Scriptures like this made a lot of People feel uncomfortable and Angel worship was on the increase and the Enemy doesn’t want people knowing the Truth so the Sons of God who are Angels became the Godly “line of Seth”.

Celsus and Julian the Apostate used the traditional “angel” belief to attack Christianity. Julius Africanus resorted to the Sethite interpretation as a more comfortable ground. Cyril of Alexandria also repudiated the orthodox “angel” position with the “line of Seth” interpretation. Augustine also embraced the Sethite theory and thus it prevailed into the Middle Ages.

Problems with this view are numerable like the mention of the “Sons of God” in the Old Testament are always Angels and when the Greek scholars translated from the Hebrew in 250 B.C  they used the Phrase “Angels of God” for Genesis 6 v 2 . We also have that God didn’t put any sanctions on who people could Marry until Genesis 28 v 6 The concept of separate “lines” itself is suspect and contrary to Scripture.

Were the sons of Cain Ugly and the Daughters of Seth..? also if they were that Godly why did God only pick  8 to Survive the Flood. The view that the sons of God were angels is very ancient. In the first century A.D., Flavius Josephus in his Antiquities of the Jews (1:3:1) held the position that angels co-habited with women.

Right, I got carried away there but it is important to know the true interpretation of Scripture. Another move of the Enemy is that the Word of God was translated in a language only the Priest and the Educated could read and the common man over a span of 1000 years could not read the Bible. especially round about 1200 A.D till the likes of Wycliffe and Tyndale wrote the Bible in their common tongue of which Tyndale was hunted and killed for doing so especially after he was burnt at the stake for doing so on  6 October 1536.

HOW WE FIGHT AGAINST THE ENEMY.

 

WE HAVE AUTHORITY OVER DEMONS.

A lot of people don’t realise that we have the Authority over the Enemy as I’ve mentioned above people nowadays don’t believe in the Supernatural but they forget that they serve a Supernatural God. Jesus sent out the 70/72 take note that this isn’t just the 12.

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Matthew 10 v 1 

After these things, the Lord appointed other seventy also and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. Luke 10 v 1  

Jesus sent out his disciples Giving them authority over the works of the Enemy and this quote from an early church Father couldn’t say it Better.

Jesus gave power and authority to his apostles, by Cyril of Alexandria (376-444 AD)

“The grace bestowed upon the holy apostles is worthy of all admiration. But the bountifulness of the Giver surpasses all praise and admiration. He gives them, as I said, his own glory. They receive authority over the evil spirits. They reduce to nothing the pride of the devil that was so highly exalted and arrogant. They render ineffectual the demon’s wickedness. By the might and efficacy of the Holy Spirit, burning them as if they were on fire, they make the devil come forth with groans and weeping from those whom he had possessed… He glorified his disciples, therefore, by giving them authority and power over the evil spirits and over sicknesses. Did he honour them without reason and make them famous without any logical cause? How can this be true? It was necessary, most necessary, that they should be able to work miracles, having been publicly appointed ministers of sacred proclamations. By means of their works, they then could convince men that they were the ministers of God and mediators of all beneath the heaven. The apostles then could invite them all to reconciliation and justification by faith and point out the way of salvation and of life that is this justification.” (excerpt from COMMENTARY ON LUKE, HOMILY 47)

And we see that they were successful as they came back rejoicing but Christ tells them not to be concerned on that they have power over the Enemy but that they are the precious children of the Father. 

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Luke 10 v  17 -20

Fallen Angels.

Fallen angels are called “sons of God”, gods, powers, principalities, authorities, dominions, host of heaven”. And with these Entities, we rebuke them we rely on the Word of God we do as Jesus done when he was in the Desert.

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Mathew 4 v 3-4

And again.

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Matthew 4 v 7

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.  Matthew 4 v 10-11

But Scripture also seems to hint that we should rebuke the Fallen Angels through the Lord.

Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.  Jude 1 v 9 

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. 2 Peter 2 v 10-11.

These Scriptures could be talking about each other here or 2 Peter 2 v 11 can be a reference to.

And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Zechariah 3:2

Here we see no matter how much in sin we are we are in Christ and therefore his.Joshua, the high priest, is accused as a criminal but is justified. Satan here is put in his place by the one who defeats him at every turn. When we stand up for Christ Satan will come for us and in turn when in his “Christ’s” will he will pluck us out the fire.

If Talking about the Fallen Angels it’s saying that although they are fallen from grace we have to give them a form of reverence as they once were of right standing with the glory of God. This once again shows that Demons and Angels are not one in the same Demons come out with the name above all names and when dealing with Fallen angels we stand in the covering of Christ and he does the Fighting for us.

The thing is Satan is the prince of the power of the Air the god of this world. and he prowls about like a lion seeking who he can devour. Along with his fallen Angels they control all this plane and we have to stand firm in the fight thats not against flesh and blood

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6 v 12 

So what do we do..? we get on our knees and pray we put on our Armour.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,

and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation,

and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 

The above Scripture is James 4 v 7. and yes this Authority that Christ Gave his Disciples is for us today as well when he is giving the great commission Christ Mentions.

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28 v 18-20

Also When he is having his Prayer in John 17 he also states.

Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; John 17 v 20.

CAN CHRISTIANS BE POSSESSED..?

This one is asked frequently and is almost always answered with a straight “NO” and that is fair enough but although for some that answer might suffice as they are happy to hear the “NO” it can be misleading. And this is because as the people go away not realising although they can’t be fully possessed they can be Oppressed, Manipulated and Controlled to a certain degree.

You see Demons always Enter to push you to the desired end result for example, a Demon of Addiction will enter not when you are slap bang in the middle of an addiction to Heroin but will come in years before and bide his time and manoeuvre and control you into the position for you to end up with the Addiction.

Same as Suicide obviously the Demon doesn’t come in when you have attempted suicide but comes in usually through a bout of depression and slowly grinds you down over the years till he has ended the life of the host. The main reason why we can’t be Fully possessed is that you are “blood bought” and when you are”blood bought” that is when you become a “Son of God” “John 1 v 12” you have the Holy Spirit and he comes to live in the Believer.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1 John 4 v 4 

And contrary to what you have heard he doesn’t go not even for seven years as some think why..?  because for.

1. “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee”; Hebrews13 v 5
2. “The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty”; Zephaniah 3:17
3. “ I am with you always, even unto the end of the world”. Matthew 28 v20
4.  ” He will give you another Comforter to be with you forever” John 14 v 16
5. ” The Spirit, ye are sealed unto the day of redemption”. Ephesians 4 v 30

So the Holy Spirit dwells in our earthly Tabernacle and stops Satan and his Angels or the Plethora of Demons from infesting our Bodies. But that doesn’t stop them from waging war against the believer and they do. If they Didn’t Paul wouldn’t warn us about the powers and principalities that we will face in our walk. From the Garden of Edan Satan put his hooks into Man and now he is the god of this age.

He has blinded the minds of even the believers and one of the Major ways that we see this is that the Church, especially in the west has little or no belief in the power of the Demonic. And that is a major sign that the Enemy has indeed blinded the minds of the Believers and entered the setting of the Church and corrupted their teachings with Doctrines of Demons.

Demons can Enter in many ways they can Enter with bad thought pattern’s bad experiences that bring “fear” one of the most well-known doors they come through. I have witnessed this recently with my Daughter she was taken on holiday and had a bad experience with a drunk. She ended up with a family member in the toilet that she was meant to be safe and secure with. For a year after it, that family member kept bringing the experience up and that bolstered the fear and I Believe was done to install fear for control. Now nearly two years later the lack of confidence is starting to show and if something isn’t done to rectify it that door will open up to a Spirit if not already.

Music is another big one remember words have power and when you are walking around singing INXS “Devil Inside” and it’s not just the Lyrics that have an effect. Demons are channelled on to the songs in a room with Witches Cursing the master copy Much of the music is written in Witch language by witches. For more on this look up a man named “John Todd” as a Christian a curse should not affect you but if you are walking around speaking these Satanic Lyrics over yourself that my friend is a different story.

You are unknowingly inviting them in or Inviting them to influence your thought pattern music has been around for a long time but not the Illuminati music Industry and the first thing they did was to Change the Frequency from 432Hz to 440Hz and if you think this isn’t so more fool on you as someone who invited them in personally and was used by them and wrote Lyrics please believe me when I say this is so.

And of course one of if not thee biggest is the use of Drugs ” PHARMA” the word pharmakeia  5331  (from pharmakeuō, “administer drugs”) – properly, drug-related sorcery, like the practice of magical-arts, The Book of Revelation talk’s of the End times and that the people will be controlled with the use of Sorcery by this they will control the Nations the greek for Sorcery’s is  pharmakeia. 

And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived. Revelation 18 v 23.

Now the big ones are out the way lets concentrate on the smaller and more discrete but no less important avenues the Demonic use for their Strongholds. we have rejection this is a common one that leads into all sorts of problem’s remember in Matthew 12

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Matthew 12 v 43-45

The point of this is to show that you need to fill the house or the wondering Spirit will return but it clearly shows that Demons travel in Gangs. Anger is another that can lead to others and the Bible says.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Ephesians 4 v 26 

This is good advice as if someone upsets you and you don’t sort it, it can go from a slight annoyance “I could hit them” to the next morning you feel like you could “kill them”.So try and sort your grievance out as quick as you can.

You have Isolation that is the one the Enemy likes to do to cut you off from all others in today’s world we have this over the board. As everyone is on their wi-fi not realising that they are being cut off from human interaction and the Internet is starting to custom your viewing just for you. Meaning after a while you are only looking at what they have catered for you to see and be careful as I’ve had conversations about random things and came home and an advert has appeared on my Newsfeed “Big Brother” is everywhere.

This Brings me to the last one I will mention and for the individual,  this is the worst in my eyes as this one has the ability to cause all the above what is it..? it’s Bitterness.

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Hebrews 12 v 15

From Bitterness we can get all sorts of bad feelings and it produces bad fruit as n Deuteronomy 29:18 when talking of the worship of foreign gods “lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit.” this is a common Demonic root of those who have been hurt and it causes Selfishness, Jealousy, Unforgiveness, Envy, Anger, Self-pity, Gossiping, Malice and in turn this produces Bad Fruit such as.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5 v 19-21

DEMONS INFLUENCE ON BELIEVERS.

As  mentioned above once you have the Holy Spirit dwelling inside you, you can not have any other Spirit that can take total control, and as I also said some just hear “NO” and that’s that but they don’t know that they can still be attacked in many ways as we have seen above they can Oppress, Buffet and drive you insane and that is why we need your Armor let’s go into the Word and see exactly what they can do to Believers.

PETER.

But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest, not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. Matthew 16 v 23

“Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. But turning and seeing his disciples, he rebuked Peter and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of man.” Mark 8 v 32-33

Jesus had Just told his disciples that he must suffer and die and Peter piped up and rebuked Jesus. Jesus recognised that the Enemy was the one who wouldn’t want Jesus to fulfil his task he rebuked the Spirit talking through Peter. Peter was hot-headed think about when he cut the ear of Malchus John 18 v 10 and this would make him easy pickings for the enemy to use him.

Peter was saved he was the one on which the movement of the blood-bought would be established after Christ. Peter went from a man who said he would follow Christ to his death to running away and denying him 3 times. Although the Bible doesn’t say this was an Unclean Spirit that influenced him but Fear, that consumed Peter for him to outright lie when asked if he was acquainted with Christ something changed his usual staunch stand and Satan also made a request to sift Peter.

And Jesus says I have prayed that you do not fail Jesus knew beforehand that Peter would fail  “And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers”. Satan also knew that Peter was a man’s man and would have been angry with himself for denying Christ as I have no doubt when Peter says he would stand with Christ he truly meant it at that time

“Even though all may fall away, yet I will not” Mark 14:29.

Satan and his Angels and Demons know that when they sift us they will do anything to shake our faith and at times he goes for our weaknesses as he knows what to bait the hook with but the Enemy at times goes for our strengths as once he attacks and wins over our strengths he knows like Peter we will be more affected more wounded to the point we are demoralised so it is important as believers not to take our eyes of Christ and stay continually in Prayer and supplication with our armour on from the crown of our heads to the tips of our toes.

JUDAS.

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him; John 13 v 2 

When the Disciples were having their Passover meal and Jesus had just finished washing their feet  Judas went on his way to sell Jesus for 30 pieces of Silver What we need to remember is that Judas was not like the rest and Jesus knew this beforehand as he remarked that one of them was a Devil. Satan can’t work with someone who is walking in right standing with God so was Judas like the other 11…?

The Answer to that is “NO” his heart was not right and he was a thief  as John tells us

This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. John 12v 6 

Judas was not of the same calibre as the rest it’s like today you get preachers who stand all week at the front of Church raising their hands preaching the Word and when the service finishes they go into the carpark to their B.M.W shofar driven to their private Jet. Many will say on that day.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Matthew 7 v 22 

Not all who say they are of the Lord are and Judas was one example of one who hid behind a cloak of righteousness but inwardly was like a ravenousness wolf and that is why Satan used him. Some people say was Judas born to betray Jesus my answer is if it wasn’t Judas Satan would off used someone else.

And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly. John 13 v 27

Another Question of why would Satan help Jesus to the Cross..? We see all through the Gospel that Satan did all he could to stop Christ from doing his earthly Mission. As we see in Matthew 4 with the Temptations to speaking through Peter in Mark 8 with “Get behind me satan”. Jesus just didn’t go to have a run of the mill crucifixion he was betrayed by one of his close circle “knowing that it would still have hurt” and let’s not forget he was beaten within an inch of his life that some died of alone. He was mocked with further abuse to his body the crown of thorns. Then made to carry his cross up to Golgotha then put on his cross. Also what we see hear is Gods purpose is always fulfilled.

And the last Question was Judas Possessed..? A few factors play in here one is that it was Satan himself we are talking of and two as already spoken of Judas was not innocent and would of for some time been living a sinful life and we know Satan had already filled his heart and he wasn’t fully possessed as like in the case of Legion as Legion would off been like that till the day he died if Christ didn’t deliver him.

And was Judas really Born again as in clean from his Sins as we go to back into the meal at Passover Jesus says something that might play a factor here

Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean. John 13 v 10-11

Jesus does say Many are called but few are chosen. Satan will use anyone that is willing to be used its the same if God needs something done he will lay it on your heart if you don’t step up he will raise up someone else. Judas was used for a season by Satan as we know after he sold the “Son of Man” for the price of a slave he.

Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Matthew 27 v 3

ANANIAS AND SAPPHIRA.

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost and to keep back part of the price of the land? Acts 5 v 3 

Ananias with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, as in those days they would sell all and put it together and live as a community. And as Ananias appeared before Peter with the money keeping a part aside for himself. Peter knowing he had done this told him that he knew and after a small dialogue Ananias fell down Dead.

His wife Sapphira no more than 3 hours had passed she came to Peter not knowing what had happened he asked her the price of the possession she answered the same as her husband and she too fell down dead the whole community was shaken with this.

So here we have two people who died from keeping back money that belonged to the Lord is that the reason..? This was at the start of the movement of the Church and everyone was of one accord all in unity and hear are two people who allow once again the Enemy to come in and fill their hearts with greed to lie and steal from the Lord. God’s reason for ending their lives from what we can see is being the first to pollute his Church with the abhorrence of sin.

Some say their deaths were natural and it was good timing on behalf of Peter right okay now who is clutching at straws. For the fact that Peter announced what they had done then they died and with Sapphira, he told her she would die. I  think we can rightly say this was a move of the Spirit of God.

And this is exactly what Satan will do if he sees any weakness in you whatsoever he will not be slow in the uptake. To use you to spoil Gods People “A little leaven leavens the whole lump” and remember what Christ said about Lies.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8 v 44

PAUL.

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the “messenger of Satan“ to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 2 Corinthians 12 v 7

Now here is another Demonic attack and people some think this is an actual Physical Thorn but reading the chapter before Paul Talks of Angels (Fallen) masquerade as servants of righteousness. and then mentions his attacks from their Enemy and because of this he.

• Was frequently in Prison 
• 5 times 40 lashes 
• Three times was beaten with rods
• Stoned
• 3 times Shipwrecked 
• A Night and day in the open sea

In Pauls travels he faced many troubles from Robbers, His own countrymen, Heathen, and Gentiles this was in the Wilderness at the Cities even at Sea. Everywhere he went he faced trouble and when in Damascus he had to be lowered out of a window in a basket as the locals were going to hurt him. Now, this is what you call being Buffeted being attacked repeatedly for his faith in Christ. The “Thorn in the Flesh” was a MESSENGER OF SATAN not of God and the Greek word for flesh is “sarx” 4561 pointing to the fleshly nature he did not use the word “kreas” 2907 that is used when talking of flesh as the body.

And there shall be no more a pricking brier unto the house of Israel, nor any grieving thorn of all that are round about them, that despised them; and they shall know that I am the Lord GOD. Ezekiel 28 v 24

Here we have an example of the use of the thorn which grieved the house of Israel were the folk among whom they were scattered. In other words, when the word is used here the word “Thorn” in the Old Testament was not talking of sickness or disease.

So this thorn the word skolops 4647 stake or a thorn i.e. A point or prickle (figuratively, a bodily annoyance or disability)  so Pauls “Thorn in the Flesh” is is a colloquialism and is a bodily annoyance in the fleshly nature  but anyway let’s, not get bogged down too much this was of  “The Messenger of Satan” and look what it caused Paul now we know what was meant When the Lord told Ananias that Paul will “Suffer Great for his name’s sake” Acts 10 v 16.

So be Careful People as Even when we are saved we still get sifted we get tried Trials from the Lord and Tempts from the Devil. Remember God always makes a way out for his Children when Tempted that they will be able to endure. We need to keep our eyes focused on Christ People we need to.

• Keep your Armour on at all times. Ephesians 6 v 12-18
• Put on the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2 v 16
• Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12 v 2 
• Walk in his will. 1 Thessalonians 5 v 8, 5 v 16-18 
• Cleanse out the old leaven. 1 Corinthians 5 v 7
• Carry your cross daily. Mathew 16 v 24
• crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5 v 24 

Just one more thing to cover in  Mathew 17 when the Disciples came to Jesus Privately and could not cast out demons.

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? Matthew 17 v 19

Now Jesus had given his disciples authority before sending them out  Matthew 10 v 1 and also n Luke 10 v 1 and we see hear that in Matthew 17 they came back and we see that they asked him privately showing that they would off been disheartened, Jesus in Matthew 17 mentions their unbelief and says this kind doesn’t come out except by Prayer and fasting. And in Luke, he mentions their unbelief as

And in Luke, he mentions their unbelief as I stated above you need to be close to the Lord and to be walking in his will in Matthew 6 v 33 it tells us to seek the Kingdom in Greek is basileia 932 and a better word is kingship his rule in our heart to have faith Pistos 4103 is to have trust and  Jesus Calls them a Faithless Generation.

Also, Jesus talk’s about having faith the size of a Mustard seed he is telling them to have more Faith. This is to be done by prayer and fasting and that some Demons might need a little more of a closeness to God to be expelled  And by Prayer and Fasting, you get to be closer as in your faith grows and the Spirit will in no way be Quenched so you get closer either way. Also is there a chance that they were running around like Kids forgetting it was through the power of the Holy Spirit and focusing on their selfs..? either way for us to stand firm against the Enemy Both Demons and the rebel Angels we have to get closer to Christ a good start is to go by the list above.

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. John 15 v 1-4

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10 v 19

And I hope you have a better idea of what Demons are and what Demons and Fallen Angels Do and how to Defeat them. We need to stand Firm as the church nowadays has no interest at all in casting out Demons and remember Jesus Ministry was a 1/3 casting out Demons.

The first thing he did to those he sent out he gave them Authority you preach the gospel cast out Demons and heal the sick. The scary thought is if this has not been done how many are in Church with Demonic attachments..!!  this Needs to be rectified as the Enemy has entered the Church and is running a mock and I’m talking in the Spirit sense they have done in the  Carnal ever since the First Christians were about like with Banning the Bible read more at  What Is The Bible…? and that my friends is another Blog If you have made t this far WELL DONE..!!  if there is a subject you would like me to blog on let me know.
